Bellyache Ridge
This is one of our favorite “shorter” rides and for a bunch of reasons.
First it packs a punch and in no time at all, climbing over 2,500 feet in just over 30 miles. You leave right from the Avon shop and it is pretty much uphill the whole way, which means it is downhill the whole way home after you have spent yourself! Then there is the view, Bellyache Ridge offers stunning views of the Vail Valley and the Gore Range in a very private mountain setting. With almost no cars on this road you get to enjoy the scenery and your workout in peace and solitude!
This one is a staff favorite for after work rides and bragging rights on times are known to be shared throughout the bike shop so be sure to stop in and let us know how you did.
